Legendary songwriter and producer Jeff Barry was in Nashville recently, where he and artist/songwriter Rebecca Lynn Howard met for two day-long co-writing sessions at BMI. Often working with Phil Spector, Barry and former wife Ellie Greenwich composed classics including “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “Then He Kissed Me,” “Be My Baby,” “Do Wah Diddy Diddy,” “Chapel of Love,” “Leader of the Pack,” “River Deep-Mountain High” and many more. They produced and helped launch a young Neil Diamond and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. Del Castillo with Willie Nelson, Carlos Santana, and the Los Lonely Boys

“Claro Que Se Puede” for “Proyecto de Amor” (“project of love”) for Hermes Music Foundation Willie Nelson, Carlos Santana, Del Castillo & Los Lonely Boys are some of the artists featured on “Claro Que Se Puede,” a new pro-immigrant track to be released next month. The track will appear on “Proyecto de Amor” (“project of love”), a 13-track album produced by the Hermes Music Foundation and set for release this fall. Proceeds from the album’s sale will benefit the Hermes Music Foundation. The Hermes Music Foundation, which raises funds for children’s health programs in Mexico, will split the proceeds with Delores Huerta’s social justice and community organizing foundation.

The recordings were produced by Alberto Kreimerman and Rick del Castillo for a most important cause!!
