Colton Entertainment is a full-service independent music publishing and administration company. Colton Entertainment Group provides full exploitation and catalog administration services, artist and songwriter development, A&R, and strategic marketing services. It also houses a production and label side and a management company.

Colton Entertainment developed through a joint-venture between President and CEO Doug Colton and Hall-of-Fame Songwriter and Publisher, Roger Murrah. Prior to forming Colton Entertainment, Colton was President of Murrah’s legendary Murrah Music Group. In 2007 Murrah Music became the first Nashville independent to make the Billboard Top-Ten Publisher’s List based on market-share. Beginning in 1990 and throughout its existence, Murrah Music consistently had multiple songs on the charts and in 2008, was awarded the ASCAP’s Song of the Year. In 2009, Murrah Music merged its country music catalog into Bug/ Windswept and Colton acquired the non-country music catalog, which had been owned by the joint venture.

Colton Entertainment is the home of Hall-of-Fame songwriter Roger Murrah, recording artist/singer-songwriter Phil Vassar, songwriter Rebecca Lynn Howard (Loving Mary, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, Clay Aiken), songwriter/producer Elisha Hoffman (Loving Mary, Fighting With Wire, Faith Hill, Dianna Corcoran, Alana Grace), songwriter/producer Bar-None (LeCrae, Young Buck, Ashthon Jones, B.B.), and recording artist/songwriters Del Castillo, Alex Ruiz, The Effects, Cameron Jayne, Chase McGillis of Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, Joel King of the Wild Feathers, and American Idol Finalist, Ashthon Jones.
